Originally Oakfield Home and Garden was formed as a garden maintenance company with a few members of staff to tender to people who wanted someone else to take care of their garden and enjoy the finer things in life.
My father (James Hume) the founder of Oakfield Landscapes was and still is very fond of gardening and very knowledgeable and had a gift of vision in the garden, which only added to the professionalism and dedication to finishing the dream, or picture that he had created in his mind of what your garden should and could look like.
This perception of quality that everything should be in it's place and that no job was complete until he was satisfied ran through the family line where quality was everything to do with the finished product.
In the winter months we would always struggle so we turned our hands to other trades and this has brought us to where we are today.
